Worthless Coupons

by

About once a month, sometimes more often, I get an email from GoDaddy about saving money on domain names. Now, I only have a couple of domain names and it really does not cost very much to keep them registered with an annual renewal. But I’m all about saving money when I can. It all adds up!

So I tried to use the last coupon that GoDaddy sent me in my email last week and supposedly good for the rest of this month, promising a 20% savings. When I tired to use it, it said I wasn’t qualified to use the discount. I tried the coupon code, I tried using other links on their site, and I finally had to call their tech support people. Turns out that the coupon code did me no good – I got a better discount without having to do anything on their site except check out. What a great waste of time and huge frustration to me to deal with all of that – all for nothing.

Too Fast, Too Loud

by

It seems like the traffic going by my house is getting faster and louder. There have been a lot of motorcycles whizzing down the street. I have a feeling the little bar down by the shopping center has changed management and has turned into a biker bar. Not that I have anything against bikers. But the zooming by my house too fast and making loud revs is really annoying. As much as I hate speed bumps, sometimes I wish there was one a couple houses away from mine to slow these guys down. Either that or a good, deep pothole.

Too Graphic

by

When the original  CSI came on TV years ago, I liked some of the new filming technicques they used to make the crime lab and autopsy rooms seem realistic. I’m not a big fan of graphic crime scenes, too. I don’t like to see people being cruel to each other – it hurts my heart.

Now the crime scenes and the lab scenes are getting extremely graphic and gory. I don’t even enjoy watching the show any more – it is too graphic and upsetting for me. Call me a sissy, but I think they could have a good show without all the extra gore they use now.

Other People’s Kids

by

There are places that little kids should not be. Some of it also has to do with the time of day – after certain hours, little kids should be put to bed and not be out on the streets. I used to love going to Las Vegas and feeling like it was an adult playground. You never saw families on the street – it just wasn’t a family oriented place. But some greedy casino owners decided to make Vegas more family friendly. They wanted to encourage all the convention goers to bring the little wife and youngsters and have them spend money while daddy does his convention. Well, as far as I’m concerned, they ruined Vegas. Now there are kids in strollers on the streets even after midnight. I don’t even want to go back there any more – I’ll find a new place that wants adults.

Oops

by

Have you ever wanted to pour a beer on someone’s head? I have and I’ve done it. I also managed to “accidentally” spill a plate of gravy down the front of a biotch who was giving me a hard time while waiting tables, years ago. Oops! treat your wait staff right, people! Tip generously and watch your mouth!
