I agree with Wendy. There are too many babies out in strollers on the sidewalks of Las Vegas at midnight. Too many babies in fine restaurants and even in movie theaters. Give me a break – a baby is not going to enjoy a movie and bringing one into the theater disturbs the other people who paid good money to see AND HEAR a movie. Leave the babies at home.

I a little old fashioned about babies and mothering. I agree that breastfeeding is good and can be done discretely. But a lot of young mothers are not discrete and they take their babies with them all over town to all kinds of events that are so unnecessary and it disturbs the adult patrons. I don’t like seeing babies in adult situations unless it is very necessary. Leave the babies at home.

Hurricanes are so unpredictable – I think that’s part of what makes them so dangerous. But when the experts and local authorities tell everyone they need to evacuate, I think you absolutely must leave the area and find safety. People who stay behind are not brave – they are stupid and make it hard on the rescue workers. Anyone who stays behind after ordered to evacuate and calls for rescue should be locked up in jail.
